Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
