Major Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced problems to water supplies, according to city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in delivering air defence systems and applying sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from city authorities.

Regional authorities said the urban area came under heavy assaults overnight. A minor died and multiple civilians were wounded.

The attacks come after periods of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.

Authorities told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for further attacks.
